Wild Foods: their role in food security in highland Timor-Leste
Through a series of participatory Seed Security Assessments, the team from RAEBIA, (with technical support from SeedChange) is exploring the role of wild foods in food security. Wild gathered roots, tubers and fruits continue to have an important role for balanced nutrition in highland communities. As part of the Community Seed Banks, wild foods are integrated into the conservation, use and promotion of biodiversity based food systems.
