The Sustainable Agriculture Productivity Improvement Project (SAPIP) underway as Watershed Management Councils and Sustainable Community Agriculture Development Plans are established.
In the SAPIP program for the Tono watershed, RAEBIA is co-Team Leader with AHCAE – an Oé-Cusse based local NGO. The initial mobilization, using the Participatory Land Use Planning toolkit of RAEBIA, is going well as farmers identify training needs and the co-Team Leaders mobilize skills and resources to provide training and monitor the impact in this initial year.
Recently there have been many community meetings where the PLUP processes to discuss future land use are underway.
The geographic focus is the Tono watershed located in the municipality of Oé-Cusse; the coastal enclave located in the western part of the island of Timor.
