Today the Minister of Agriculture of Timor-Leste and his team braved torrential rain and visited our conservation agriculture plots in Manatuto which we manage in collaboration with FAO and local farmers. The Minister seemed impressed with the work and the effects on the land by employing simple conservation techniques. Even the downpour rain and mud in the field didn't deter him from having a close look at the test plots and trying the tools and machinery used by the farmers which are supplied by FAO.
